  • First of all you need to download the ADB on your PC or Laptop.

Download the ADB by clicking the respective ones!

  • In the mean time, open Settings on your device, go to System >> About Phone >> Now tap on the Build Number 7-8 times to enable Developer Option.
  • After this, go back and open the Developer Option, scroll down a bit and you will find an option named “USB Debugging, enable that!
  • Power off your device, and boot into Fastboot Mode on your Zenfone Max Pro M2 (When your device is switched off, press power button+volume up button).
  • After this, connect your Phone with your PC using the Micro-USB Cable.
  • Now get back to your computer, install ADB simply by clicking “Y” on every commands.

  • Thereafter, open C:\adb folder on your PC. Now hold the Shift key and tap on the Right-click on your mouse. Thereon, you will see an option Open PowerShell window here, click on that!

  • After the PowerShell window opens, type the following command:

fastboot devices

fastboot oem enable_camera_hal3 true

  • Now you will get a success message, as my device already has ADB installed so it is not showing the message ADB installed successfully.

Now you are all done with the installation of Drivers and Enabling Camera2api. After your device boots, download the latest GCAM APK from here.

Alternative Method:

Sometimes the above mentioned method does not work on your device. So we have come with an alternative method, following which you can easily install the GCAM Mod on your device.

  • First of all you need to download the ADB and install it on your PC or Laptop.
  • Open Settings on your device, go to System >> About Phone >> Now tap on the Build Number 7-8 times to enable Developer Option.
  • After this, go back and open the Developer Option, scroll down a bit and you will find an option named “USB Debugging, enable that!
  • Now get back to your computer, install ADB simply by clicking “Y” on every commands.

Up to this, both the processes are same. The twist is from here:

For this process you need to download the Windows Drivers, you can download it by clicking here. Unzip it into a folder and keep it.

  • Now, go to the Computer Management >> Device Manager >> Asus Android Device >> Asus Android Bootloader Interface.
  • Thereon, right-click on it, and then click on Update Drivers and then select the Windows Drivers folder which you just downloaded few minutes ago.
  • The Drivers will get installed now.
  • Now, power off your device, and boot into Fastboot Mode on your Zenfone Max Pro M2 (When your device is switched off, press power button+volume up button).
  • After this, connect your Phone with your PC using the Micro-USB Cable.
  • Thereafter, open C:\adb folder on your PC. Now hold the Shift key and tap on the Right-click on your mouse. Thereon, you will see an option Open PowerShell window here, click on that!
  • Now type the following commands:

fastboot devices

fastboot oem enable_camera_hal3 true

  • Now you are done with ADB and Camera2api.
  • Install the latest GCAM APK and enjoy!

That’s it, you are ready to shoot some cool photographs on your device by using the GCAM.
