Microsoft Building Apple Airpod’s Rival

Apple Airpods were first launched on 2016. Since then it has been a Giant in the True Wireless Earphones segment. Last month, Apple released the second generation of Airpods which has a better chipsetwireless charging technology. The new chipset claims to power the Airpods with 50% more battery life.

Right now, Microsoft is Building Apple Airpod’s Rival. They are working on bringing it’s true wireless earbuds which will debut in the market soon.

Microsoft Surface Buds?

According to the research of ThurrottMicrosoft is working on its True Wireless Earbuds which is code-named as Morrison. But it will be named as Surface Buds when it will debut in the market. Most of the companies are integrating their Virtual Assistant in their Smart Devices. Like them, Microsoft too will integrate its virtual assistant Cortana.

Last Year, Microsoft launched its Surface Headphones in the international-market. The Headphones have adjustable active noise cancellation and Cortana integration. Priced at $350 (₹24299.62 as of the pricing on 17th of April 2019), it compete head-to-head with some of the popular brands like Bose and some other cool brands.

True-Wireless Earphones from some market Leading Brands:

Samsung launched the Galaxy Buds last month which is not on sale till now. But the Buds are available only to those people who have Pre-Ordered the Samsung Galaxy S10, S10e and the S10+. We are hoping that Samsung can gain some market-shares of Apple after the Galaxy Buds go on sale properly. Google launched the Pixel Buds late 2017. But it was unable to grab the market. There were hardly some countable pieces which were sold.

Amazon too is coming with its Alexa enabled Earbuds late this year.
